Our beginnings…

Founded by Alexander Boyd in 1946, we began by supplying hand lettered posters and displays for cinemas and retail outlets as well as exhibitions stands and mobile floats for the Lord’s Mayors Show.

From hand-painted signs to large-scale digital production, from traditional posters to modern exhibition environments – our industry has transformed and so have we.

Set up by Alexander (pictured below), Alexander Boyd Displays remains a family-run business – independent, local, and grounded in long-term thinking.

Many of our team have been with us for years, even decades. That continuity matters. It means skills are passed on, standards are upheld, and knowledge stays in-house.

Today, Alexander Boyd Displays is a team of around 30, combining decades of experience with modern capability. Still family-run, we bring together skilled designers, printers, and installers who take pride in delivering work to a high standard. It’s that mix of experience, care, and craftsmanship that continues to define who we are.
