Wall Vinyls & Wrapped MDF Panels
Hilden Primary School in Lisburn first opened in 1912 to serve the children of Hilden Mill workers. After closing in 2008, the Grade B1 listed building sadly fell into disrepair.
Thanks to a £2 million investment led by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council in partnership with the Resurgam Trust and The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the school has now been beautifully restored and repurposed as a vibrant community hub.
As part of this wider regeneration, LCCC required engaging, durable and professional displays to showcase the history of Hilden School and its link to Hilden Mill.
Our team printed and installed high-quality wall vinyls throughout the school corridors. These were carefully printed with a mixture of historic photography, narrative text, and graphics to create an engaging visitor experience.
We wrapped MDF panels and mounted them on split battens. This method allowed for a clean finish, while also making future updates or panel replacements straightforward. The split batten system ensured a secure fit, while maintaining flexibility for the council’s evolving exhibition needs.
The finished installation transformed the corridors of Hilden School into an immersive storytelling space. Visitors can now explore the history of the Mill School through a combination of bold visuals and curated content.
