Project Overview
Alexander Boyd Displays was commissioned by Laganside Business Services to produce a series of outdoor display panels for Hilden School.
The project was designed to celebrate and share the history of both Hilden School and the historic Hilden Mill, creating an engaging visual feature for pupils, visitors and the wider school community.
The Solution
We produced three bespoke C Bond display panels, digitally printed in full colour and finished with a matt laminated permanent vinyl for a durable, high-quality finish suitable for outdoor use.
The project included:
- 2 x 3,000mm x 900mm C Bond panels
- 1 x 841mm x 1,189mm C Bond panel
Each panel featured detailed historical information and imagery, helping tell the story of Hilden School and its connection to the area’s industrial heritage.
Designed for an Outdoor Environment
As the panels were to be displayed outdoors within the school grounds, durability was an important consideration.
C Bond provided a strong and rigid base for the displays, while the full-colour permanent vinyl and matt laminate created a professional finish designed to withstand an outdoor environment.
The matt laminate also helps reduce glare, making the historical information and imagery easier to view in changing light conditions.
