Digital Print Operator

Alexander Boyd Displays is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Print Operator to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate and maintain our large-format banner printing machine, ensuring high-quality output and smooth production runs. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate & Maintain Equipment: Set up and run printing machines efficiently and safely, monitor ink levels, and ensure proper settings for each job.
• Quality Assurance: Perform regular checks to maintain print quality and make on-the-spot adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshooting: Handle routine maintenance and minor repairs, escalating technical issues when required.
• Material Handling: Sort, trim, and package finished banners; manage storage of paper, ink, and other supplies.
• Workflow Coordination: Work closely with the pre-press and finishing teams to ensure timely job completion.
• Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements; handle materials and chemicals responsibly.
• Record Keeping & Efficiency: Log machine settings and materials used; suggest process improvements where possible.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in print operation or a similar role (preferred)
• Proficiency with digital or large-format printing equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and quality
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of safety protocols in a production environment
